We recently vacationed in northern Michigan. Before we left, we did an internet search for congregations we could worship with during our stay there. We also sent a few e-mails to make sure our information was correct. We ended up meeting with a tiny church in Cedarville on the upper peninsula of Michigan. There we met Tim and Jill Anderson.

All along we hear questions raised as to what has gone wrong with today's youth. Recently, a brother expressed his concern along this line and then asked, "What advice would you give young parents to help them avoid mistakes that we have made in our generation?"

We see young people in the church voluntarily attending special classes conducted for their benefit and studying diligently in preparation for these classes.             Memory is reserved for the human family.  While it is true that animals--even plants--have a sort of memory, it is not of the moral sort.  Human memory is the foundation for all learning.  Learning is basically piling new information on top of memory.  We become quickly disquieted when we can’t remember something or especially when a loved one has lost the faculty for recalling things.  Memory loss is the sign of serious problems.
