What God Says About You

Satan wants you to worry as he calls your sins to mind. In John 8:44, we are told that he is the father of lies. Let God’s Word give you peace as you read what He says about you:

  1. You are His most valuable creation and prized possession. “He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created” (James 1:18). The God who shaped heaven and earth, speaking them into existence and forming them with His hands, regards you as His best work. Your soul is that precious to Him!
  2. He desires that we live at peace with one another. “As far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone” (Romans 12:18).
  3. God loves you enough to send His son to die for you. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
  4. You are a new creation and an ambassador for the LORD. Once we are raised from the waters of baptism, we are to share Christ’s message of salvation and reconciliation with others. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
  5. You are not alone.  Not only does the Lord promise to never leave us or forsake us (Romans 13:5), He gives us our brethren to comfort one another (Galatians 6:2). When it feels as though you are the only one with sin, 1 Peter 5:9 reminds us that the family of believers, everywhere, endures affliction. Take comfort in the promise that you are not alone. “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10).
  6. He will make all things new for us in Heaven. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
  7. He encourages you to persevere.  “To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21).

God’s love for you knows no bounds. May we live for Him as we fix our eyes upon heaven.
